Taipei is full of shops, large malls and major shopping districts scattered all over the city. Some of the larger ones are listed below.Breeze Centre - 微風廣場
Nine floors of shopping, plus a basement food court, upmarket deli and supermarket. The luxury floor includes Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Dior, Prada and other boutiques. The centre is also home to the Taipei branch of Dean & Deluca, upmarket bakery and the large Breeze supermarket.

Gongguan is home to a wide variety of student and inexpensive restaurants (including south east Asian), lane after lane of street stalls, as well as beng one of the most interesting shopping areas in Taipei. Bustling and crowded almost any night of the week.

Guang Hua has Taipei's largest collection of electronics retailers. Shop for mobile phones, cameras, computers, electronics accessories, parts and DVDs.

Hope Market - 希望廣場
This is a geat place to pick up food products made by small local producers, such as Taiwanese teas, sauces, sweets and wines. In addition to this, the farmers market also sells local fresh produce, including a good range of organically grown fruit and veg. Located next door to Guanghua Digital Plaza and just a short walk from the MRT.

Jianguo Flower & Jade Markets - 建國假日花市&玉市
One end of this weekend market has lots of colour and in season flowers, while the other has a large range of jade souvenirs.

Xinyi District is home to numerous department stores and malls. Several branches of the upscale Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store are here, Bellavita (high end brand mall), Taipei 101 Mall (high end brands, Jason's, large food court, restaurants), Eslite's flagship bookshop (Taiwan's largest), New York New York shopping centre (clothing boutiques, Apple Store, Toys R Us).
