Taipei Food

Food is generally available almost eveywhere in Taipei. The following are some of the downtown areas that have a special reputation.

Taipei's night markets are another option worth visiting for local snacks and stalls.

Food Stalls
For a sample of Taiwan street food, try one of the many street stalls scattered around Taipei. Deep fired treats include tianbula (tempura cakes), chicken bottoms, toufu, chicken pieces and even broccoli and cabbage. Other street stall foods include Japanese style boiled snacks (heilun/oren/oden) and sometimes even pizza. Stalls are usually clean but food can often be quite greasy. For a wide selection all in one place try Taipei's night markets.
