A slice of nature only 10-15 minutes walk from the CBD. A walking track extends from Kings Bridge to First Basin (about 1.5km) and is lit up at night. At First Basin there is an outdoor swimming pool in a spectacular natural setting and a restaurant. Walking paths include the Cataract Gorge walk, Zig Zag track and other bush walking trails. Wallabies are common in the evenings.

Evandale
The small historic town of Evandale is well known for its National Trust Georgian buildings and streetscape. Evandale is also home to the busy Sunday Markets (Falls Park, Logans Road) which are popular for browsing antiques and second hand goods, as well as offering food and fresh produce. Clarendon, a grand colonial house and estate, is located just a few km south of the town centre (234 Clarendon Road, Evandale).

National Rose Garden

Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG)
The sprawling QVMAG makes up the largest museum complex in Australia outside of a capital city. The museum focuses on Tasmanian history, Australian colonial art, as well as craft and design. Located in Inveresk, just across the river from the CBD.
