ACROS Fukuoka
ACROS Fukuoka has a stepped roof with around 40,000 trees planted on it making for an interesting view from Tenjin Central Park. The green roof helps capture rain water and helps keep temperatures inside the building more stable.
Canal City Hakata
This unique shaped complex is home to a around 250 shops, a cinema, eateries and the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel.
Dazaifu Tenmangu
Home to the major 16th century style Shinto shrine Dazaifu Tenmangu. Visit the Shrine and attractive ground or make a longer trip to walk the neighbouring ruins and visit the Kyushu National Museum.
Fukuoka Castle Ruins
The remaining sections of the 17th century Fukuoka Castle Ruins are quite limited and include part of the castle wall and castle gate.
Fukuoka Tower

Hawks Town

Kyushu National Museum
One of only four National Museums in Japan, the Kyushu National Museum opened in 2005. The museum is home to significant historical artefacts from southern Japan and focuses on the interaction between neighbouring Asian cultures and Japan.
Marinoa City
With more than 170 shops, Marinoa City offers Fukuoka’s biggest outlet mall, as well as seaside dining and ferris wheel rides.
Ohori Park
A great place to relax, Ohori has a large lake and lots of greenery. The park is also home to Fukuoka City Art Museum and the [[fukuoka/castle_ruins|Fukuoka Castle Ruins]].
Tenjin Area
